I was caught in the rain today…

I cannot believe it’s been so long since I’ve experienced rain. It’s incredible, but true. It’s been dry season here since I arrived. And for these people, dry season really means dry season. Not a drop of rain fell for the past 6 months. None that I’ve noticed anyway…

So I was really caught off guard by the sudden downpour.

And it was one of the best feelings I’ve had for a long time.

There’s something incredibly liberating about standing out in the middle of a downpour; slowly strolling in the rain and just making a general fool of yourself. What made it even better is that there is no one here to chide you for not being “sensible” enough to come out of the rain.

If being foolish feels so good, I say Screw Sensibility…
